The Dubit Schools Panel gives us ongoing access to headteachers, teachers and pupils, and furnish our Education specialists with the latest data and trends, especially regarding the curriculum and new schooling initiatives. We have worked hard to develop a technical approach to young people’s education and how to get the most out of their potential, and are regular contributors to debates on, eg, ADHD, volunteering, financial ability, sports education, and enterprise. In fact, here’s a quick look at some work we’ve done there!
Enterprise Education
In an economic climate where we are being urged to use enterprise to help us trade out of recession, it’s crucial that we can easily identify and support the next generation of business leaders. Through a 34-question survey devised using key factors contributing to an entrepreneurial spirit, we were able to create a series of scales to measure how engaged kids were with business, and their potential to set up in business. From these scales, we can identify those who would benefit from more focussed entrepreneurial mentoring, and this also contributed to Business Link’s designs for a new youth-oriented online service. Two graphs below are part of a 68-strong library of findings that help to determine (and support) educational strategies around entrepreneurship.
